WARM Food Pantry
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink (Matthew 25:35)
The WARM Food Pantry provides its clients with wholesome, nutritious food in the form of frozen and canned meats, canned vegetables, bread, fresh produce and more. As a partner of the Houston Food Bank along with other organizations, the WARM Food Pantry provides for families in need.
The Food Pantry also takes food donations of non perishable items directly to our Food Pantry, through the Red Barrel at HEB in Fairfield and through many area churches.
Donations to the Food Pantry
We accept donations for the Food Pantry anytime the Thrift Store or Food Pantry are open. The following items are always in short supply.
Staples:
Canned meats (tuna, chicken, Spam)
Peanut butter & jelly
Canned vegetables
Healthy snacks (granola bars, trail mix, crackers)
Breakfast items (cereal, oatmeal)
Personal care items:
Toilet paper, paper towels
Laundry Soap
Feminine hygiene products
Bar Soap, shampoo, conditioner
Deodorant

Eligibility
As partners of the Houston Food Bank, WARM must follow The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) policies regarding eligibility.
A household is automatically eligible for TEFAP if they currently receive one or more of the following benefits: SNAP, TANF, SSI, NSLP, and Non-institutional Medicaid.
ORTotal household income must be less than or equal to 185% of federal poverty guidelines (see TEFAP Income Eligibility Guidelines). The income eligibility guidelines change every year.
Documentation
If you are a first-time visitor to WARM’s food pantry you are required to meet with one of our caseworkers so that we may register you in the program. You will need to arrive no later than 2 PM, and you will need to bring the following documents:
Proof of benefits (i.e., award letter) for any or all of the following: SNAP, TANF, SSI, NSLP, and Non-institutional Medicaid.
ORProof of income for each adult in the household. Examples include: 4 weeks of pay stubs, SSA benefit award letter, unemployment award or registration confirmation, child support payment, self-employment income statement, or a bank statement for the last three months.
ANDProof of residence (e.g., a utility bill with your name)
Government-issued I.D. for each adult in the household
Recertification
Each WARM pantry client must verify their eligibility at least once a year.
