Serving the community for more than 35 years

History & Future

The origination of WARM actually goes back to the mid-1980s with the Waller Pantry and Closet (1985) and the Mission Closet (1986)

Roots Run Deep

From these two organizations, community leaders formed WARM in 2005. In its charter, WARM's mission field was serving those who live in the Waller ISD area.

Birth of WARM

Through the hard work of many community members and friends of WARM, we successfully completed a capital campaign to build a new facility on business 290. This building was completed in 2015 while taking on minimal debt. This was completely paid off in 2022.

New Digs

In 2020, the WARM board saw that, while there were other service organizations in the area, the county of Waller was being underserved and, from this, decided to Expand WARM's mission to include all of Waller County and Waller ISD.

Expanded Mission

We’re deepening collaboration with other nonprofits, churches, and community organizations to build a stronger, more connected support system.

Volunteers let us scale without increasing employment costs — ensuring donor dollars go straight to programs.

We’re strengthening our grant strategy so we can meet rising demand with stability and flexibility.

We’re developing, or partnering with others, to increase financial literacy, workforce readiness, case support, and resource navigation programs — helping families build their own safety nets.

The need is growing. We’re committed to stronger outreach, more partnerships, and better pathways to housing and stability.
